Conclusion of the TVET Workshop on Support and Reform of Technical Education in Iraq

Under the supervision of the Middle Euphrates Technical University and in cooperation with the Program of Support and Reform of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Iraq (TVET) of the European Union, the workshop on preparing and building the capacity of teachers of technical education and vocational training in Iraq was concluded at the Karbala Vocational Training Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
The representative of the Middle Euphrates Technical University member of the Technical Committee in the program Assistant Professor Dr. Maher Hamid Majid Dean of the Technical Institute Karbala. During the workshop, the university, keen to support the technical education and vocational training sector in Iraq, seeks to cooperate with the international organizations in this field, including TVET program to provide serious opportunities for training and develop the skills of workers in the field of education and vocational training for students in colleges and institutes And technical estates in Iraq.
He added that one of the most important outputs of this workshop will be to bridge the gap between the requirements of the labor market and the efficiency of graduates. Noting that this program is one of the largest programs sponsored by the Iraqi government with the European Union in the field of technical education.
For her part, Dr. Sana Ali Hamza, a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Technology at the Karbala Technical Institute and the Master Trainer of Karbala Workshop for TVET, said that these programs are one of the most important programs to make a quantum leap in technical education in Iraq, pointing to the importance of investing expertise in bodies International Organization for the Support and Reform of Education in general and technical education in particular in Iraq, expressing the hope that this program will include all workers in this sector in the future.
The workshop included a number of participants from the heads of departments and teachers from the Middle Euphrates Technical University / Karbala Technical Institute in addition to a number of teachers of the Nineveh industry and a number of employees of the Vocational Training Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
