Symposium on combating smoking at the Technical Institute / Karbala.

 

The Committee for the Implementation of the Anti-Smoking Law at the Technical Institute / Karbala organized a scientific seminar for the students of the Institute on the effects of smoking phenomenon on public health. This is in accordance with the contents of the anti-smoking law.
The seminar included a presentation of the seriousness of the spread of smoking in society and in the university center in particular.
The head of the anti-smoking committee, Mohamed Abdel Baki Abdel Mohsen on the dangerous effects of smoking on the individual and society and considered it the first cause of death in the world.
He stressed that the habit of smoking as a non-civilized lesion, the injury of human diseases and diseases. Such as its bad effect on the lymph nodes and the pituitary and neuropathy and their harmful effects on the heart, blood pressure, respiratory tract, stomach, muscles and eye.
For his part, Mr. Maytham Salem Attiyah, the teacher in the Department of Health Techniques during the seminar, stressed the negative effects on the economy due to the spread of this phenomenon and the fact that the addicts are less productive and therefore they are always in a difficult situation with the departments under which they work because of their weakness. Growing in the community against the phenomenon of smoking opportunities have become a success for smokers to get a little work.
In conclusion, the participants agreed to raise some recommendations to the responsible bodies. The most important of these are the following: (1) Awareness campaigns and health education through the various media. Raising awareness about the prevention of advertising in any form in all the media. In addition, holding seminars in all government and private institutions, Schools, law enforcement against smoking).
