| About the Department:
The Department of Community Health was established in 1989. The department awards the certificate of technical diploma in community health. The first 10% of the graduates of the department are admitted to the Faculty of Medical and Health Technology in the field of community health. |

| Objectives :
1- The Department aims to graduate technical staff in environmental health, occupational safety, inspection, health control, health survey, implementation of primary health care programs, health awareness campaigns, operation and care of special devices. 2. Prepare students to become community leaders in the efficiency and professionalism in the field of community health. 3. Emphasize the importance of health education in both educational and vocational aspects to increase individual, family and community awareness towards self-care. 4. Cooperation with public and private organizations in meeting the health needs of society. |
| Characterization of the work of the graduates:
The graduate is entitled “Community Health Technician” 1. The graduate works in public health, occupational safety, environmental health, inspection, health control and control of transitional diseases through studying the environmental and health problems of the society and participating in the preparation of plans for the depth and methods of prevention and control. 2. Conduct environmental and health surveys and carry out preventive health measures. 3 – works on the implementation of primary health care programs. 4. Operating the equipment used in health and environmental surveys and other areas of health protection and care.
