The Retirement Division aims to deliver the finest services possible by efficiently processing retirement procedures for our university employees and guaranteeing timely and competent handling consisting of:
- Receiving applications and communications regarding retirement.
-Prepare a comprehensive statistical report on university employees approaching the legal retirement age, updating it annually, and reviewing it monthly.
- Monitoring the extension of service of Professors and Associate Professors through legal provisions and issuing necessary orders.
- Submitting recommendations to the university president to allow the retirement of employees who have reached the legal retirement age at least 30 days before the date of retirement.
- Transfer of employees who have reached the legal retirement age to retirement under the Uniform Pension Law No. 9 of 2014 and the Amended University Service Law No. 23 of 2008.
- Processing pension applications of employees who wish to retire voluntarily even if they have not reached the legal retirement age.
- Retiring employees for health reasons based on the decision of the Medical Board.
- Retiring politically dismissed employees upon reaching the age of 65.
- Provide retirement benefits and other rights to retirees by applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee the birthdate adjustment process for teaching staff in accordance with current guidance.
- Contract retirees as experts, senior experts, or chief experts by the provisions of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in accordance with the retirees of Decision No. 28 of 2009.
- Enter into contracts with non-retirees by the retirees of Resolution No. 297 of 2021 in accordance with the rules established by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
- Grant up to 180 days of accumulated vacation pay to retiring employees based on the available balance by Article 45, paragraph 1, of the Civil Service Law No. 24 of 1960.
- In accordance with Article 48 of the Civil Service Act No. 24 of 1960, to provide summer vacation pay to teaching staff in addition to their accumulated vacation pay, provided that the period does not exceed 180 days and that they do not receive this pay during summer vacation while in service.
- To extend the period of service of employees who have been dismissed for political reasons or because they are relatives of martyrs, in accordance with the relevant regulations and instructions.
