Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University is among the 126 Iraqi university and college that ranks seventh in the Webometrics ranking in its second edition for the year 2024

Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University has achieved among Iraqi universities and colleges the seventh place in the Webometrics world ranking in its second edition for the year 2024.

It is reported that the classification results (www.webometrics.info/en/Asia/Iraq thirty thousand university institutions around the world compete according to indicators that measure the virtual presence of universities through their websites and indicate the percentage of clarity (50%), transparency (10%) and the strength and excellence of research (40%).

The current version witnessed the rise of the Iraqi universities index compared to the previous version, where the University of Baghdad came in the top one hundred and twenty-six universities, followed by the Universities of Diyala, al-Mustansiriya, Mosul, Kufa, Anbar, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical, Qadisiya and other Iraqi universities indicated by the official website of the classification of the higher Center for scientific research in Spain.
The Webometrics ranking is based on several indicators that show the University’s success in dealing with modern teaching methods, the results of scientific research, and the use of effective social networking sites with the community, industrial and economic sectors .

The University’s ranking in this ranking is also influenced by the quality of the content it provides through its website and the extent of its openness on various social networking sites with followers, scientific researchers and specialists.

This classification reflects the University’s strength in providing outstanding educational and research content that benefits students and the scientific community . It also reflects the efforts made by the University in developing and improving teaching methods and expanding the scope of Education .
The president of the University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Kazem Al-Zubaidi, blessed this achievement and extended his thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed and worked hard to reach this honorable result, which contributed in one way or another to show the bright image of the University.
