The Projects and Construction Department is one of the most important departments in the university. It comprises a group of specialist experts, including engineers and technicians with architecture, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering backgrounds. In addition to supporting administrative staff.
The department aims to develop plans and prepare designs for project proposals to be announced after obtaining the necessary approvals from the Ministry. It also ensures the follow-up of projects after awarding contracts, during implementation, and throughout the maintenance period, addressing any execution challenges to ensure work continuity.
1-Department Director.

2-2.Projects Follow-Up Division.
This critical division monitors the implementation of projects under the university’s investment plan, including projects contracted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and regional development projects executed by provincial governments.
3-Planning Division.
This essential division prepares future plans for the university’s project needs, evaluates proposals, assesses their economic feasibility, and prioritizes projects based on necessity and importance to ensure efficient execution.
4- Implementation Division.
Responsible for reviewing the execution of ongoing projects, evaluating requests for changes, additions, or deletions to project items as submitted by the resident engineer offices, and verifying contractor advances for quantities and prices against approved bills of quantities before submitting them to the accounting unit for payment purposes.
The department prepares a plan for future projects for the upcoming year in collaboration with the university’s 11 formations. It also serves as a liaison between the Technical Education Authority, engineering departments, and resident engineer offices for these formations. Additionally, the department plans to host resident engineer teams to identify challenges hindering project progress and to work diligently on resolving them within the framework of approved legal procedures.
