Department of Media and Public Relations

Brief introduction:

The Department of media and public relations at the presidency of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University is an important and vital part and is considered one of the departments that has a permanent presence for its role in covering and highlighting all the activities and events of the University and working to finance those activities and events to a media message that the department made a media material accessible to everyone to see and learn through it about what the university is doing and the services it provides in various fields for everyone.
Divisions of the media and Public Relations Department:
The media and public relations department consists of divisions and units that are directly related to the department manager and can be classified as follows :

1. Information division
2. Public Relations Division
3. Coordination Division
4. Media units in colleges and technical institutes
   Department manager and department manager:
   The management of the department is summarized through the distribution of daily uncles to the people’s officials by the department manager, and in the role of the people’s officials, the tasks are distributed according to the required activities to the officials of the units in colleges and technical institutes .

Duties of the media and Public Relations Department:

The Department of media and public relations is the media interface of the University and has the following duties:

1. Work on covering activities and events of various kinds such as conferences, celebrations, events, seminars, seminars, sports festivals, and other activities for all institutions from colleges and institutes, highlighting them and pushing them to all media .
2. The Department publishes the technical track Journal (a monthly periodical that collects the scientific, literary and intellectual activities of colleges and institutes affiliated with the University.
3. The department coordinates and facilitates the tasks of all satellite channels and other media at all university institutions to complete their media reports .
4. The department organizes conferences and central celebrations of the University and undertakes to accomplish the informational aspects of those celebrations through the read and Audiovisual Media.
5. The department follows up all the media and what is published in them of matters related to the University and present them to the attention of the president of the University for decision and the possibility of responding to them .
6. Organizing the required TV interviews for the president of the University and any other official at the University and the constant presence with the media in such activities .
7. The department also follows up on the humanitarian and social aspects of all university employees and professors, and sends congratulations and condolences on joyful, sad and other occasions .
8. The department is working on building bridges of communication with Iraqi universities .

Tasks and duties of the media and Public Relations Department

• Introducing the role of the University and its mission, and seeking to build a positive image of the University among the internal and external public. * Publishing all news and announcements related to the University, and facilitating the task of media professionals and journalists to obtain information related to the University.
• Interact with the community and meet its needs for accurate statistical information and facts.
• Communicate with the media to spread the University’s message, its services to the community, and organize meetings and press conferences for university officials.
• Following up the trends of public opinion about the University’s activities and various achievements.
• Preparing and issuing bulletins related to the achievements and activities of the University and distributing them inside and outside the University.
• Media documentation of all university activities.
• Supporting colleges and departments in the implementation of events and conferences.
