The research plans System provides the technical processes required to save, review and archive all scientific activities in various formations of the university – faculties and research centers – and monitor their implementation during one academic year under the direct supervision of the Department of scientific affairs in the Department of the assistant to the president of the University for Scientific Affairs.
The research plan is defined as an initial description of a scientific activity, the method of its implementation depends on collecting data and information related to the activity and completing it with an explicit scientific output, such as participation in a conference, publishing a research in a journal, organizing workshops or scientific discussion seminars, etc.of various academic activities, and thus achieving the objectives of the activity as a main pillar of the University of Babylon strategy. The research plan can be viewed as a future vision or a preconceived model that predicts the form of practical activity, and the way to accomplish it through a set of steps and stages that researchers in colleges and centers commit to during their research work. The scientific research plan for any researcher helps to complete the work with all organization and accuracy, quickly within the specified time, and through which priorities are arranged, therefore, ignoring the development of the research plan is a major drawback that reduces the scientific value of the academic institution. Therefore, adherence to all the criteria for preparing a research plan is essential to distinguish academic scientific work, and it requires a scientific researcher to make a lot of efforts, and to put a long time of his work at the service of preparing and writing research that needs a professional plan reflected on the continuous development of the University in the field of scientific research.

Academic Planning Standards

The department management in any formation of the university should prepare an integrated and comprehensive scientific research plan, and try to achieve interconnection between the various elements of this plan. It is necessary for the department to explain through the research plan the mechanisms followed and which will be adopted in the collection of materials for the research plan (published research, scientific participation reports). One of the most important criteria for preparing a research plan is to focus on the logical, correct and accurate arrangement of all elements of the plan. The plan should be complete, successful and linked to the questions and hypotheses of the scientific study related to the researcher’s academic interests. The distinctive research plan gives the same results even if more than one scientific researcher is able to carry out their studies based on the application of what is stated in it. The process of academic scientific documentation of all quotations is obligatory at all stages of scientific research, foremost of which is the stage of preparing the research plan. It is assumed that the department or even the scientific researcher should not start preparing and writing his own scientific research plan, only after he has familiarized himself with many diverse research plans related to the competence of his scientific research, which dealt with the subject or phenomenon of his scientific study.
