| About the Department The Department of Media and Government Communication at the Presidency of Al-Furat Al-awsat Technical University plays an essential role among presidency departments. It is one of the departments that has a constant presence due to its efforts in covering and highlighting the university’s various activities and events. The department works on supporting these activities and events, transforming them into media promotions, and making them accessible to the public. This allows everyone to stay informed about the university’s work and the services it provides in various fields. |

| Department Activities highlighting the various activities and events taken place at the university of by its members- Responding to official correspondence from the Ministry’s Media and Government Communication Department, as well as all related social media platforms, and implementing all ministerial directives according to the specified timelines Regularly responding to the Ministry’s requests regarding the university’s government communication plan, coordinating the university’s formations’ responses, and sending a unified report to the ministry Preparing daily reports for the Psychological and Global Operations Committee (Ministry and General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers) and sending them to the ministry on daily basis, covering all news related to the university and its related colleges and institutes published in newspapers, agencies, news websites, local, Arab, and international news agencies, and electronic platforms Managing and updating the Arabic and English versions of the website with the university’s news and- activities, as well as translating all updates Communicating with the Media and Government Communication Department in the governorate to publicize the university’s news and activities Preparing the annual media plan and quarterly evaluation reports for the university and its formations- Managing the department and distributing daily tasks to the responsible staff of the divisions at the university presidency and its formations according to the required activities Covering various activities and events such as conferences, celebrations, occasions, seminars, discussion sessions, sports festivals, and other activities for all university departments, including colleges and institutes Producing media reports and press releases and distributing them across various media channels, including print and electronic newspapers, local and Arab news agencies, and social media platforms Monitoring all media outlets and tracking any publications related to the university, then presenting them to the university president for review and response, if necessary Establishing communication with Iraqi universities and covering their activities Introducing the university’s role and message and working towards building a positive impact of the university among both internal and external audiences, especially in preparation for welcoming new students publishing all university-related news and announcements and facilitating press personnel’s to relevant university information Engaging with the community and fulfilling its needs for accurate information, facts, and statistics Communicating with media outlets to spread the university’s message and highlight its services to society, organizing interviews and press conferences for university officials Monitoring public opinion trends regarding the university’s activities and achievements Preparing and issuing bulletins related to the university’s achievements and events and distributing them both internally and externally Documenting all university activities Supporting colleges and departments in organizing and executing events and conferences |
