To support specialized specializations that serve the health and medical sector, contributing to raising the level of services provided to the community and achieving sustainable development… The Ministerial Innovation Committee, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Saad Hamid Abdul from the Research and Development Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, visited the College of Health and Medical Technology in Kufa at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University to review the promising innovation projects planned by the university as part of its strategic plan for the year 2025-2026. The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Angham Jassim Al-Ramahi, received the committee in his office, in the presence of the department directors from the relevant university presidency and the college’s senior staff. The Chairman of the Ministerial Innovation Committee and his accompanying delegation were taken on an exploratory tour to follow up on the procedures for establishing the Department of Dental Technology at the aforementioned college. The field tour included inspections of the aforementioned departments, classrooms, specialized science laboratories, and other service facilities. It also included a general overview of the university environment to ensure the availability of the required quality standards for the new program. The committee also reviewed the equipment and technologies available to support the educational process and scientific research in the proposed specialization. The committee expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by the Dean of the College to prepare the necessary requirements for the creation of such promising specializations, which will contribute to supplying the local labor market with specialized technical cadres, both scientifically and practically qualified. At the conclusion of the visit, the committee praised the academic and scientific level achieved by the university and its formations, confirming that it will submit its final report to the relevant higher authorities within the ministry to review its recommendations and make appropriate decisions regarding the new programs.
