Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, accompanied by Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanim Wadday, Vice President for Scientific Affairs; Professor Hassanein Ghani Al-Husseini, Dean of Engineering Technical College of Al-Najaf and Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Abd, Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, visited the Programming Club Unit at Engineering Technical College of Al-Najaf to review the latest achievements of the Programming Club team and their technical and creative output.

The visit included a detailed presentation of their recent participation in the 16th Arab Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Championship, held in Tunisia.

It is worth noting that the club team won first place in the Innovation Competition for Youth, outperforming fifteen other participating Arab teams. This was the second consecutive year that the competition was held.

The President of the University praised the team’s outstanding performance, emphasizing that this achievement is a source of pride for the university and reflects the extent of the development of the participating competencies in the fields of programming and modern technologies.

He also affirmed his full support for the continuation of the club’s qualitative activities and for providing an appropriate environment for developing participants’ skills in the fields of innovation and artificial intelligence.

For their part, the club’s supervisors, Dr. Aliaa Abdul Hussein Lafta, instructor Fatima Muhammad Kazim, head programmer Firas Nizar Karim, and team members (Zahraa, Maryam, Muhammad, and Reda), thanked the university presidency for their continued support.

The team presented a copy of the first-place championship trophy to the university president, noting that this victory represents an additional incentive to continue to excel and raise the university’s profile in scientific and technical forums.
