About the Department

It is one of the main and important departments within the university structure. It includes a number of staff members specialized in various engineering fields such as architecture, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, as well as several supporting administrative disciplines.

Objectives

The department aims to develop plans and prepare project designs for announcement after obtaining the necessary approvals from the Ministry. It also follows up on projects after awarding, during implementation, and even during the maintenance period, addressing implementation issues to ensure continuous progress.

Organizational Structure

1- Department Director.

2- Project Follow-up Division


One of the key divisions responsible for monitoring projects implemented under the investment plan, including projects awarded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and regional development projects executed by the governorates.

3- Planning Division.


One of the important divisions that prepares the university’s future project plan and determines the needs of its formations. It studies and submits projects for implementation after analyzing their feasibility and importance to ensure that execution aligns with priorities and necessity.

4- Implementation Division.


A vital division responsible for reviewing and studying the implementation of ongoing projects, evaluating requests for changes, deletions, or additions submitted by resident engineer departments, and reviewing contractors’ advance payment requests to ensure they match approved quantities and prices before being submitted to the Accounts Unit for payment.

Department Activities

The department prepares a plan for future projects for the coming year in cooperation with the university’s eleven formations. It also serves as a link between the Technical Education Authority, engineering departments, and resident engineer offices of those formations. Additionally, it plans to host resident engineer teams to identify challenges hindering project progress and work seriously to resolve them within approved legal frameworks.
