Central Scientific Promotions Section

The Central Scientific Promotions Division is administratively affiliated with the University President and works alongside the Central Scientific Promotions Committee, which is one of the most important committees in the university. It is responsible for granting academic titles to degree holders by processing their applications and having their research evaluated by experts inside and outside Iraq. The division consists of the division director and administrative staff, and works with the central promotions committee, which includes nine members: the committee chair and members who hold the academic title of 'Professor' in various scientific specializations. They are responsible for reviewing applications for academic promotion to the ranks of 'Lecturer', 'Assistant Professor', and 'Professor' within the university presidency, its colleges, and affiliated institutes.
