His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, met in his office with Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University.
At the beginning of the meeting, the university president extended his congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, and expressed his deep appreciation to His Excellency the Minister for his continued support of the university. He also presented a brief overview of the university’s recent initiatives aimed at achieving high performance across academic, administrative, and community service fields. This included steps toward digital transformation, new programs and specializations planned to meet labor market needs, and partnerships achieved through the Industrial Advisory Board.
Dr. Al-Zubaidi also updated the Minister on the progress of ongoing university projects as part of the expansion initiatives taking place across most university departments, aimed at creating a sustainable model campus environment, including the Minister’s approval for the establishment of the Higher Institute of Nanotechnology.
In response, His Excellency the Minister affirmed his support for all initiatives that enhance university performance and make the institution an active contributor to society by providing ideas, visions, and proposals that help solve real-world problems across various sectors and drive progress forward.
