The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, announced the university’s progress in the UI Green Metric classification for the year 2024.
The official classification website (https://greenmetric.ui.ac.id/rankings/overall-rankings-2024) showed that Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University obtained the fourth (4) rank out of eighty-one (81) Iraqi governmental and private universities and the (178) rank globally out of (1477) advanced international universities (147) ranks for the previous year, the results of which were announced by the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil.
As the classification depends on the quality of education and scientific research and the extent of the advancement of infrastructure projects in the university and the application of clean energy standards and the preservation of the university environment and water treatment.
Al-Zubaidi appreciated the efforts of the scientific and administrative leadership, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, and the support of professors and employees, congratulating everyone on the achievement.
