Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, the Department of Science and Technology Parks, in collaboration with the World University Service of Canada / Tawasul Project, organized a specialized two-day design workshop focused on mechanisms for leading and organizing volunteering campaigns within the university campus.
The workshop witnessed active participation from students of the Kufa Technical Administrative College and the Kufa Technical Institute, and is part of a comprehensive youth-led awareness campaign aimed at enhancing student engagement in volunteer, media, and entrepreneurship-related activities.
The workshop aimed to empower students to design and implement impactful volunteering campaigns, providing practical tools and modern concepts for campaign planning, volunteer team management, and utilizing media to maximize the impact of student initiatives. It also explored linking volunteering activities to labor market needs and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
The sessions were led by Mr. Haider Alaa, Media and Communications Officer of the “Tawasul” project, and Ms. Mina Jassim, who guided participants through interactive exercises and strategy discussions.
The event was attended by Mr. Ali Abdul Hussein Al-Zalmi, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Parks, and Assistant Professor Dr. Amir Hussein Muhammad, Head of the Career Development and Follow-up Division.
