Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Lateef Al-Zubaidi, the University Festival of Fine Arts for university students was launched. The festival is held as part of the Student Activities Division curriculum for the academic year 2025–2026, first semester, at the University Art Gallery.
The festival was inaugurated by the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Mujtomi, in the presence of the Assistant President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadi, the Dean of the Technical Institute of Babel, Prof. Dr. Ali Najah Kazem, representatives of the university’s colleges and institutes, department directors, and heads of student delegations participating in the festival.
The festival aims to highlight young artistic talents and provide an interactive platform for students to exchange ideas and creativity, as well as contribute to activating the cultural and artistic scene within the university and fostering a spirit of creativity and belonging to our esteemed university.
Attendees were able to view a variety of artworks presented by the students, including painting, sculpture, design, and handicrafts.
The festival also included individual and group competitions held in the university gardens, showcasing the students’ talents and creativity across different art forms.
At the conclusion, Prof. Al-Mujtomi honored the participating students and staff, praising their outstanding efforts and emphasizing the university’s commitment to supporting student activities in all fields, recognizing their importance in developing students’ personalities and nurturing their talents continuously.
