Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and under the supervision of the Dean of Najaf Technical Institute, the Women’s Affairs Division, in collaboration with the Department of Horticulture and Technological Sciences, organized a specialized training workshop entitled “Your Career Path: Gateway to Employment in the Private Sector and Entrepreneurship” as part of the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

The workshop aligns with the University’s strategic approach to empowering students and enhancing their readiness to actively engage in the labor market, particularly within the private sector, in line with the requirements of sustainable development and contemporary economic transformations.

The workshop targeted students from the Departments of Health Administration and Accounting Techniques. Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, University President, emphasized that the University systematically works to bridge the gap between educational outcomes and labor market needs through specialized training programs that build advanced professional awareness and enable students to plan their career paths and make informed employment decisions.

During the workshop, Mr. Harith Haider Razaq, Executive Director of Ardh Al-Nawafith Company, shared his professional experience in the private sector, highlighting core skills sought by employers, including effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and initiative. He also emphasized entrepreneurship as a strategic option for graduates, noting that the success of entrepreneurial projects depends on accurately identifying market needs and transforming ideas into actionable opportunities.

The workshop, managed by Dr. Rabab Adnan Fadel, covered both theoretical and practical topics, including the concept of career paths, methods for aligning academic specializations with private-sector requirements, and presenting real-world examples of entrepreneurship. The event also featured an interactive activity that allowed students to assess their skills, identify career priorities, and develop a preliminary plan to enhance their capabilities in the coming stages.

Through this initiative, the University reaffirmed its commitment to building effective partnerships with private-sector institutions and preparing a generation equipped with competence, flexibility, and the ability to compete in a dynamic work environment, contributing to economic and social development.
