Within the approach of openness and communication with international and regional universities the President of ALFurat ALAwsat Technical University Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy,signed a scientific and cultural memorandum of understanding with the University of Tabriz In the Islamic Republic of Iran. At the beginning of the signing ceremony, Al-Zuhairy expressed his appreciation to the presidency of Tabriz University for hosting the delegation of Al-Furat AL-Awsat Technical University, and he gave a full explanation of the university’s vision, mission, objectives, and scientific disciplines pointing out that the university focuses on providing its graduate students with skills required by the labor market, as well as soft skills that are not covered by the vocabulary through career development center CDC and the Continuing Education Center.

Al-Zuhairy also referred to the research activity and scientific conferences organized by the university and the international rankings in which it recorded attendance during recent years.
Al-Zuhairy: The signing of the memorandum came in harmony with the policy of the Ministry, represented by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in building scientific and cultural relations with reputable universities in order to achieve the desired benefit from joint cooperation and introduce the capabilities of Iraqi universities and raise their reputation in international forums.
While the President of the University of Tabriz, Prof. Dr. Nasrallah Zadeh, welcomed the visiting delegation and then gave a historical overview of the university, its institutions, and its scientific achievements. The memorandum dealt with the possibility of exchanging scientific experiences through the exchange of professors to conduct research and scientific meetings, give lectures, and strengthening of cooperation in the field of authorship and publication of joint scientific research in reputable journals within international scientific containers.
The proceedings of the memorandum from the Iraqi side were attended by the vice president for scientific affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmed Wadai, the Director of Missions and Cultural Relations, Dr. Hashim Ali, and the Director of the Office of the President of the University, Mr. Moeen Al-Rubaie.
