Believing in humanitarian responsibility and based on the university’s principle of community service, ALFurat ALAwsat Technical University responded to the relief campaign for the Syrian people launched by the Minister of Higher Education and scientific research Dr. Naim Al-Aboudy as a result of the recent earthquakes, which killed thousands of women, men and children and destroyed their homes as a result of the event. The President of ALFurat ALAwsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy formed a delegation of university employees headed by Mr. Basem Hamad to relief the affected and provide logistical support and in-kind and material assistance to the affected Syrians in coordination with the relief official from the Iraqi side and this campaign has had a good impact on the souls of the Syrians This comes in the context of the university’s orientation to adopt humanitarian initiatives to contain and overcome crises inside and outside Iraq.
