The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, inaugurated an exhibition of awareness posters about the optimal use of antibiotics. The exhibition was supervised by Dr. Atheer Kazem Abadi, Dean of the Kufa Technical Institute. It was organized by the Department of Pharmacy Techniques at the Kufa Technical Institute. It cooperated with and coordinated with Instructor Ikhlas Razzaq Naham, the Head of the Women’s Affairs Section Director at the University Presidency.

The exhibition aimed to raise awareness about the indiscriminate use of antibiotics without a prescription and to clarify the concept of bacterial infection.

The exhibition witnessed a wide attendance, including the Vice President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Mohsen Al-Majtoumi, several department directors, senior staff members of the university and the institute, as well as a large audience of employees and students.

During the inaugurating of the exhibition, which was part of the activities for Global Antibiotic Awareness Week, the university president praised this pioneering initiative, which highlights the growing dangers of bacterial resistance to antibiotics due to their excessive and inappropriate use. He also appreciated the efforts of the institute’s deanship, the Department of Pharmacy Techniques, the students, and the faculty members involved in this valuable activity.

He affirmed his continued support for these events that serve the community by conveying clear messages to the public about correct health behaviors.

Al-Zubaidi expressed his gratitude to the deanship of the institute, the Department of Pharmacy Techniques, the Women’s Affairs Department at the University Presidency, which highlighted the role of women in serving the community, the students of the Pharmacy Techniques Department, and those responsible for implementing this exhibition, commending their efforts to develop the educational process and enhance scientific and social activities.
