Under the patronage of the President of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Kazim Al-Zubaidi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Karbala Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Fadhel Muhammad Zahir, the Karbala Technical Institute, one of the formations of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, held the festival of the birth of the Muhammadan moons in the holy Shaaban under the slogan (They rejoice in our joy) in the Imam Al-Rida Hall in the presence of government figures, unions, members and students of the institute. The festival concluded with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the Iraqi national anthem. This was followed by a speech by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Fadhel Muhammad Zahir, who said: “The Deanship of the Technical Institute of Karbala extends its warmest congratulations and blessings to the Master of the Age and Time, the great religious authorities, and the faithful men and women, on the occasion of the births of the Muhammadan moons in the holy month of Sha’ban. Every year, you are under the banner of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as we celebrate in these blessed days of the holy month of Sha’ban the anniversary of the birth of the pure Imams, and we draw inspiration from them for the values of faith and morality and steadfastness in the position of reform and righteous work. Therefore, we must remember that we are followers of the Ahl al-Bayt, so we must know the Imams well and know what our duties are towards them, as they are the example and model.” The festival included many activities, starting with a poem recited by Dr. Ghaith Al-Fatlawi, followed by a Husseini anthem for the pure births, and the festival’s draw activity, where 10 numbers were chosen and gifts were presented to the winners, while the closing ceremony was for the Ali Al-Karrar (peace be upon him) and Al-Hawra Zainab (peace be upon her) girls’ groups, who presented religious anthems on the stage of Imam Al-Rida Hall in the Karbala Technical Institute.
