Under the patronage of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, and with the direct supervision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Taher Hameed Abbas Bahiyah, a faculty member in the Department of Materials Management Techniques at the Technical Institute of Diwaniyah – Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, was awarded the International Medal of Creativity for his participation in the activities of the 6th International Conference on Creativity and Innovation (2025), held under the slogan: “With Creativity, Nations Thrive”.
The conference witnessed broad international participation from Arab and foreign scholars. It aims to contribute to enhancing the environment of innovation and reflects the progress Iraq is making in the fields of research and development. It also represents a significant step toward establishing a culture of scientific research and sustainable innovation within our academic institutions.
It is worth noting that the Iraqi International Forum for Creativity and Innovation is one of the most prominent academic events celebrating young Iraqi minds and aspires to build a future based on knowledge and innovation.
In his remarks, Dr. Majid Al-Zubaidi, President of the University, emphasized the university’s pride in its distinguished faculty and staff, stating that such achievements reflect the university’s reputation and academic excellence.
