Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Honors 50 Iraqi Researchers for Completing the Scientific Research Skills Training Program

His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored fifty Iraqi researchers from public and private universities who successfully completed the Trainer Preparation Program in Scientific Research Skills.
The recognition ceremony was held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad, in collaboration with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, Clarivate International, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Imad Abbas Jaafar Al-Mulla, a faculty member at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University / College of Health and Medical Technologies – Kufa, received a Certificate of Appreciation from His Excellency the Minister in recognition of his outstanding participation, exceptional efforts, and successful completion of the international training program designed to build the capacities of 50 Iraqi researchers and prepare professional trainers to train academic staff members across Iraqi universities.

This program was part of a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Clarivate International, the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, and the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, and it ran from April 28, 2025, to October 23, 2025.

In his speech during the ceremony, Minister Al-Aboudi reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continuing the Scientific Research Skills Development Program in partnership with Clarivate, the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.

He emphasized that the Ministry is continuing its efforts to enhance the quality of scientific research and its outcomes in Iraqi universities through cooperation with reputable international institutions.

Minister Al-Aboudi further explained, in the presence of several senior officials, that the Ministry is proceeding according to a well-structured scientific plan aimed at supporting and providing the necessary training opportunities to empower researchers and develop their research competencies in line with international standards.

He added that the achievements in Iraq’s scientific research environment have culminated in the foundation of the Ministry’s Central Laboratories, which meet the standards of the most advanced scientific institutions and laboratories in the region and the world.
