The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, participated in the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week, which began on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in Holy Karbala.
The event witnessed the participation of over 100 universities from Iraq and Iran, in a step aimed at strengthening academic cooperation and exchanging scientific expertise between the two countries. The significance of this initiative lies in consolidating academic relations with Iranian universities to achieve shared goals in higher education and scientific research.
The university also aims to establish scientific partnership agreements with Iranian universities to internationalize academic programs and develop joint research projects.
The event included the signing of an executive program between the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its Iranian counterpart, focusing on enhancing collaboration in higher education, exchange of academic staff and students, and developing advanced scientific programs.
The activities of Iraqi-Iranian Science Week will continue for several days, featuring workshops, scientific lectures, and discussion panels, reflecting the commitment of both countries to advancing the educational and research systems.
