Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, the Student Activities Department, in cooperation with the Holy Alawi Shrine, organized the Alawi Platform for the university’s students. The event was attended by the Dean of the Technical Institute of Kufa, Professor Dr. Atheer Kazem Abadi, the Scientific Assistant, Associate Professor Dr. Iyad Muslim, several officials from the Holy Alawi Shrine, as well as a number of department directors, faculty members, staff, and a large gathering of students.
The platform featured a series of religious and cultural activities. A religious lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Sadiq Al-Marooj, highlighting the noble values and the esteemed status of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) on the occasion of her blessed birth anniversary. The lecture emphasized the profound humanistic and ethical significance of this occasion, which contributes to building societal awareness and reinforcing authentic principles.
The event also included the recitation of several poems in classical Arabic, in which the poets expressed the virtues and exemplary life of Lady Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), eliciting notable engagement from the audience. Additionally, student competitions were organized to enhance religious and cultural awareness among students and encourage their active participation in purposeful activities.
In this context, Dr. Naseer Ahmed, Director of the Student Activities Department, affirmed that the event was organized in cooperation with the Dean of the Technical Institute of Kufa and the Holy Alawi Shrine on the occasion of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra’s (peace be upon her) birth anniversary. The initiative aims to strengthen the ongoing partnership between the university and the shrine, instill religious and ethical values in students, and encourage their continuous participation in commemorating religious occasions.
