The Department of Studies and Planning at the Presidency of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University held an extensive meeting at the University Presidency, chaired by the Department Director, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Aziz Ali, with the participation of division officers and unit heads—including Planning, Academic Systems, Statistics and Data, the Unit for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Special Needs, and the Officer for Book Accreditation and Community Studies—as well as the heads of Studies and Planning divisions across all University constituent units.

The meeting addressed several key areas, focusing on administrative and technical issues aimed at enhancing institutional performance:

  • Statistical Data Updates: Emphasis on the accuracy and prompt provision of required data to the Presidency to ensure smooth coordination with the Ministry.

  • Academic Systems: Monitoring the implementation and updates of study plans to comply with quality and accreditation requirements, and tracking new initiatives aligned with labor market needs.

  • Strategic Plan: Reviewing the progress of planned objectives within designated timelines for the University units, ensuring staff cooperation with preliminary studies within legal and administrative frameworks, monitoring students, and following the University’s collaboration plans with other universities and official institutions under the Ministry’s work plan. Additionally, feedback and suggestions from division officers were discussed to overcome administrative and technical challenges.

During the meeting, the Department Director emphasized the importance of enabling divisions within the University units to perform their tasks efficiently and called for the adoption of electronic automation in data management and utmost accuracy in preparing periodic reports.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Department Director commended the efforts of the staff working in the Studies and Planning divisions and encouraged them to continue their dedication to advancing the University’s scientific and administrative standards.
