Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, the Department of Student Activities organized the “Information Bank” Competition for students of the University’s formations, within the framework of developing cognitive abilities and enhancing students’ general knowledge.

The competition was held concurrently with the launch of the Entrepreneurship and Creativity Week at Al-Najaf Technical Institute, in the presence of Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, Dean of the Institute; Assistant Professor Dr. Nusayr Ahmed Kamel, Director of the Department of Student Activities; along with a number of staff members and department heads. The event took place in an academic atmosphere that reflected the University’s commitment to supporting creativity and fostering students’ scientific and intellectual capacities.

The judging panel comprised specialized faculty members who were responsible for posing questions and overseeing the competition’s proceedings. The contest featured a diverse range of questions spanning scientific, cultural, intellectual, and sports domains, and witnessed distinguished academic competition among participating students, demonstrating their high level of preparedness and excellence.

The results of the competition concluded with Al-Najaf Engineering Technical College securing first place, Al-Najaf Technical Institute attaining second place, and Al-Samawah Technical Institute achieving third place. The efforts of the participating students and the role of the organizers of this academic event were widely commended.

At the conclusion of the competition, the winning students were honored in recognition of their outstanding efforts, with emphasis placed on the importance of sustaining such initiatives, which contribute to advancing the scientific and cultural standards of the University’s students.
