As part of its efforts to advance academic and scientific standards and to enhance research collaboration, the College of Health and Medical Technologies/Kufa, one of the constituent institutions of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, signed a twinning and joint cooperation agreement with Al-Warkaa University College. This agreement aims to achieve scientific integration among universities and to open new avenues for academic and research collaboration in a manner that serves students and enhances the quality of the educational process at both institutions.

The signing ceremony took place during the visit of a delegation from Al-Warkaa University College, headed by its Dean, Professor Dr. Nader Abdul Salman Abu Tabikh, to the College of Health and Medical Technologies/Kufa. The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Angham Jassim Al-Rumahi, Dean of the College, along with the senior academic staff. The agreement includes the unification and development of curricula for corresponding specializations, the exchange of books and scientific resources, and the adoption of joint examination mechanisms.

The provisions of the agreement also cover cooperation in teaching and scientific research, the implementation of research projects and scholarly publishing, supervision of students’ graduation projects, and mutual utilization of laboratories and educational workshops. In addition, it includes organizing workshops and training courses that contribute to developing the skills of academic and technical staff, as well as collaboration across various fields and joint student activities.

Dr. Al-Rumahi stated that “the agreement represents an important step toward supporting the quality of higher education and developing academic programs in line with accreditation requirements, as scientific partnerships contribute to strengthening research rigor and expanding the horizons of institutional collaboration.”
