The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, held an extensive virtual meeting with Saratov State Technical University, with the aim of strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities.
During the meeting, prospects for joint collaboration between both sides were discussed. The Russian side presented proposed areas of cooperation, including educational and academic activities, scientific research collaboration, academic exchange programs, participation in scientific conferences, and the implementation of joint scientific and educational projects. The Russian side also expressed its readiness to consider any additional proposals.
For his part, the University President provided an overview of the university’s colleges, institutes, and academic specializations, and discussed the development of bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of advancing technical education and improving its outcomes in line with labor market requirements. He also highlighted the need to enhance academic and scientific cooperation in the fields of research and teaching, in addition to developing vocational and educational training programs through the exchange of expertise between both parties. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of organizing reciprocal educational visits to strengthen institutional communication, as well as exchanging administrative and academic information in a way that contributes to improving university performance and enhancing the quality of education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed on the importance of continuing communication and joint coordination, and working on establishing practical mechanisms to activate the proposed areas of cooperation in order to achieve the desired objectives.
The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Waday, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs; Dr. Raad Al-Jourani, Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Babylon; Dr. Hashim Ali Hasab, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations; Dr. Osama Al-Jubouri, translator and Secretary of the Council of the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Babylon; and Assistant Professor Muayen Al-Rubaie, Director of the University President’s Office.
