The Al-Najaf Technical Institute at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University received a ministerial committee specialized in reviewing the final requirements for establishing a number of new and specialized academic departments, in line with the university’s orientation toward transitioning to the Polytechnic system and developing its academic map in accordance with labor market needs.
The committee was received by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, along with his assistants for scientific, administrative, and student affairs, in the presence of Dr. Haider Aziz Al-Shibli, Director of the Planning and Studies Department at the University Presidency, as well as a number of faculty members.
The visit included a field tour to inspect the infrastructure, classrooms, specialized laboratories, and available technical capabilities, as well as discussions on mechanisms for transitioning to the applied technical system and developing medical, engineering, and administrative specializations in line with modern technological advancements.
The Dean of the Institute affirmed the administration’s commitment to completing the requirements for establishing new departments and providing an integrated educational environment that contributes to preparing specialized technical competencies capable of meeting the needs of various sectors, emphasizing the importance of these new disciplines in supporting the advancement of technical education.
For their part, the ministerial committee praised the level of readiness and available capabilities at the institute, commending the efforts made by the deanery and staff in developing the academic environment and enhancing the quality of technical education.
