As part of its efforts to enhance the efficiency of administrative and supervisory performance, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organized a workshop entitled “The Role of the Audit and Internal Control Department in Inventory and Reconciliation Procedures for Fixed and Stored Assets.” The workshop was delivered by the Director of the Audit and Internal Control Department, Mr. Mustafa Sabah Jihad, with the participation of the heads of audit divisions from all university formations.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the role of audit and internal control departments in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory and reconciliation procedures related to fixed and stored assets, as well as verifying the efficiency of internal control measures. These efforts contribute to safeguarding public funds, improving asset management, and reducing cases of waste or manipulation.
The workshop also reviewed the mechanisms for implementing and monitoring inventory and reconciliation procedures, highlighting the importance of effective oversight in promoting transparency, ensuring the accuracy of accounting records, and minimizing financial and administrative errors and risks.
Furthermore, the workshop emphasized the importance of adopting precise supervisory procedures that contribute to the development of institutional performance and enhance the efficiency of administrative and financial operations across the university’s formations.
