As part of its ongoing efforts to promote intellectual and behavioral awareness among students, the University Psychological Counseling Division at the Presidency of the Middle Euphrates Technical University organized a scientific awareness seminar entitled: “The Role of the Family in Protecting Children from Intellectual Deviation,” under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Kadhim Al-Zubaidi, and under the supervision of the Assistant Presidents of the University for Scientific and Administrative Affairs.
The seminar hosted Assistant Professor Dr. Hossam Ali Hassan Al-Obaidi, Director of the University Psychological Counseling Department at Al-Kafeel University, who delivered a lecture addressing the importance of the family’s educational role in enhancing the intellectual and behavioral awareness of children, in addition to highlighting the role of educational and university institutions in supporting preventive and guidance efforts. The seminar was moderated by Assistant Lecturer Haider Khunayab Hashim, Head of the University Psychological Counseling Division at the Presidency of the University.
The seminar also discussed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation among universities and exchanging scientific expertise in the fields of university psychological counseling, in a manner that contributes to the development of awareness programs and the promotion of a psychologically and intellectually safe university environment.
This seminar comes within the framework of the university’s orientation toward organizing awareness activities that contribute to consolidating the values of moderation, belonging, and responsibility among students in a way that serves both the educational institution and society.
