As part of implementing the 2026 Strategic Plan to Combat Violence Against Women and Girls, and in line with the Protection Pillar, the Women’s Affairs Division at the Presidency of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University carried out an awareness-raising activity by designing and disseminating educational posters highlighting the importance of gender-responsive budgeting and distributing them among the university staff.
The posters shed light on the concept of gender-responsive budgeting and its role in addressing the needs of women and girls during the planning and allocation of financial resources. This approach contributes to promoting social justice, ensuring equal opportunities, and improving the quality of services provided.
This activity is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness of concepts that support women’s empowerment and strengthen their presence in development policies and programs, in line with national directions aimed at protecting women and enhancing their role in society.
