Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Holds Workshop to Enhance the Application of Direct Labor (In-House Execution) Regulations
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, the Internal Audit and Control Department organized a workshop entitled: “The Role of the Internal Audit and Control Department in Implementing Direct Labor (In-House Execution) Instructions No. (1) of 2018, as Amended by Instructions No. (23) of 2022.” The workshop was attended by audit unit personnel from all university formations.
The workshop aimed to strengthen mechanisms for implementing the Direct Labor (In-House Execution) Instructions in accordance with the applicable regulations and directives. It also highlighted the role of the Internal Audit and Control Department in ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and administrative procedures, thereby promoting transparency, good governance, and the protection of public funds.
The workshop was delivered by Mr. Mustafa Sabah Jihad, Director of the Internal Audit and Control Department at the University Presidency. It addressed the key practical aspects and challenges associated with implementing the instructions, while presenting recommendations and proposals aimed at improving performance and enhancing the efficiency of auditing personnel in line with institutional requirements and professional best practices.
This workshop forms part of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University’s ongoing efforts to develop the capacities of its administrative and supervisory staff and to enhance institutional performance in accordance with quality, transparency, and accountability standards.
