The University President Participates in TVET 3 Meeting on Developing Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Iraq
The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, participated in the third TVET 3 Steering Committee meeting of the project titled “Green and Digital Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Enhancing Employment Opportunities in Iraq.” The meeting was held at the Guest Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office, in the presence of Dr. Hamed Al-Mousawi, Head of the Higher Committee for the Development of Education in Iraq, as well as representatives from relevant ministries, UNESCO, and the European Union.
The meeting discussed the progress achieved in implementing the project and future plans for developing the technical and vocational education and training system in line with the green and digital transformation, while meeting the requirements of the labor market. Emphasis was placed on strengthening cooperation between government institutions and international partners to develop youth skills, increase employment opportunities, and support sustainable development.
Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University’s participation reflects its leading role in supporting the advancement of technical and vocational education, as well as its active contribution to national initiatives aimed at preparing qualified graduates equipped with modern skills required to meet development needs and labor market demands.
