Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, participated in a specialized workshop organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in collaboration with the British Council, Imam Ja’afar Al-Sadiq University (PBUH), and the Higher Institute for Leadership Preparation and Development, with the participation of a distinguished group of Iraqi university presidents.
This participation reflects the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen academic and leadership capacities through the development of a specialized professional diploma focused on enhancing strategic planning, change management, and promoting a culture of quality and innovation.
The workshop featured discussions on the internationalization of higher education, strengthening institutional autonomy, and aligning university outcomes with the evolving demands of the labor market.
This initiative represents a significant step toward creating a flexible educational environment capable of leading institutional transformation and fostering sustainable academic excellence in Iraq.
