Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, the Student Activities Department organized the “Information Bank” Competition for students from the University’s various academic formations, as part of efforts to develop students’ knowledge-based abilities and enhance their general cultural awareness.
The competition was held in conjunction with the launch of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week at the Technical Institute of Najaf, in the presence of Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Abd, Dean of the Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Naseer Ahmed Kamel, Director of the Student Activities Department, along with a number of university staff members and department directors. The event was conducted in an academic atmosphere that reflected the University’s commitment to supporting creativity and developing students’ scientific and intellectual capabilities.
The judging committee consisted of specialized academic staff members who were responsible for presenting questions and managing the competition activities. The competition included diverse questions covering scientific, cultural, general knowledge, and sports fields, and witnessed distinguished academic competition among the participating students, reflecting their level of preparation and excellence.
The competition results concluded with the Najaf Engineering College winning first place, the Technical Institute of Najaf achieving second place, and the Technical Institute of Samawah securing third place. The participants’ efforts and the contributions of the organizers in making this scientific event a success were highly appreciated.
At the conclusion of the competition, the winning students were honored in recognition of their outstanding efforts, while emphasizing the importance of continuing to organize such initiatives that contribute to enhancing the scientific and cultural level of university students.
