As part of his ongoing field visits to inspect and monitor the performance of the university’s various formations within its geographical area, the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, inspected the reconstruction projects at Al-Najaf Polytechnic College. He was accompanied by the Chairman of the Provincial Council, Dr. Hussein Al-Essawi; the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadi; and the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali.
During the visit, he reviewed the progress of work on a number of promising projects, including:
- The building of the Department and lecture halls for the Cosmetics and Laser Department.
- The building of the Department and lecture halls for the Oil Refining Department.
- A new academic lecture-hall building with a capacity of 500 students.
- The construction of a laboratory for training and qualifying students.
- The construction of laboratories for the Oil Refining Department.
The visit also included monitoring the implementation of the items specified in the preliminary cost estimate, the work progress schedule, completion rates, and the required materials and supplies, with the aim of providing a comfortable and safe university environment for students at the beginning of the upcoming academic year.
The University President also expressed his observations and directives regarding the projects, emphasizing that all materials and construction works must comply with standard engineering specifications.
