The Board of Directors of the Higher Education Fund at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University held its regular meeting, chaired by the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Kadhim Al-Zubaidi, with the attendance of the members of the Board, including Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Mohsen Al-Mujtoumi, Assistant University President for Administrative Affairs, as well as the directors of the relevant departments.
During the meeting, the agenda items were reviewed, along with the matters raised in the minutes of the meetings of the Higher Education Funds at the university’s various academic formations. These matters were discussed extensively, and the necessary decisions and recommendations were adopted after reviewing and verifying the submitted financial statements.
The meeting resulted in the approval of a package of important recommendations, including providing financial support to a number of university formations to sustain the educational process and develop university infrastructure, as well as supporting scientific and research activities across all formations. These measures come as part of the university’s early and intensive preparations for the launch of the new academic year 2026–2027.
During the meeting, the University President emphasized that the university is continuing its approach aimed at advancing its scientific and academic performance in order to keep pace with the rapid development taking place at leading universities worldwide. He stressed that “the optimal investment of resources is the means to achieving the university’s goals and noble mission, foremost among which is providing high-quality technical education that meets the requirements of the labor market.”
