Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Opens Doors to Private-Sector Companies in Najaf for 27 Graduates

Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Launches the Seventh Edition of the Graduate Empowerment Program
Under the slogan “Train Today, Get Employed Tomorrow,” Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University has launched the seventh edition of its Graduate Empowerment Program, this time with a distinctive approach in which employment is not a deferred promise, but the program’s immediate objective.
The program was inaugurated under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of the University, and is organized by the Qualification and Employment Division at the Science and Technology Parks, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center. The program is implemented in partnership with the Najaf Chamber of Industry, represented by its Economic Advisor, Mr. Ali Yassin Al-Saabri, in a strategic effort to establish a direct link between the academic classroom and the industrial workplace.
The program goes beyond providing participants with a certificate of attendance; rather, it is designed to serve as a gateway to employment. Over 30 days of intensive training, 27 male and female graduates from various universities in Najaf will undertake three focused training levels:
- Level One: How to Communicate, Persuade, and Lead — Soft Skills.
- Level Two: How to Protect Your Rights and Understand Your Employment Contract — Legal Awareness.
- Level Three: How Artificial Intelligence Can Become Your Workplace Colleague — Not Your Competitor.
At the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi delivered a clear message to the participating graduates, emphasizing that the era of waiting for government employment opportunities has come to an end. He stated that the university is committed to helping graduates create employment opportunities for themselves in the private sector and is mobilizing its resources to bridge the gap between the knowledge and skills acquired through university education and the actual demands of the labor market.
Dr. Amir Hussein Mohammed, Head of the Qualification and Employment Division, highlighted the program’s key outcome, stating that graduates who successfully complete the program will move beyond the traditional cycle of job seeking and will instead be directly referred to genuine employment opportunities within factories and industrial facilities in Najaf.
The launch ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Mohsen Al-Majtoomi, Administrative Assistant to the University President; Prof. Dr. Khatam Abdul-Hassan Shanan, Head of the Science and Technology Parks Department; and Prof. Dr. Mahdi Hatif, Director of the Continuing Education Center.
