The Continuing Education Council at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University held its second meeting for the 2026–2027 academic year, chaired by Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadi, Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs, with the participation of the Council members. The meeting focused on discussing mechanisms for developing and enhancing the work of the Continuing Education Center.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Assistant University President for Scientific Affairs welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of providing capacity-building services for university staff and other sectors of society, particularly graduates and final-year students, with a focus on the soft skills required by the labor market.
He also directed that consideration be given to developing training programs that would enable both trainees and trainers to benefit from the various training activities and programs.
Furthermore, he commended the efforts of the staff of the Continuing Education Center in organizing a substantial number of training courses, workshops, and seminars, in addition to developing several software applications designed to facilitate and streamline the Center’s operations. Among the most notable of these are the Teaching Methods Program, the Trainers’ Evaluation Program, and other important applications.
The meeting also addressed the topics listed on the agenda, and the necessary measures were taken accordingly.
