This department was established with the establishment of the University in ( 2014) the objectives of this department :
Providing legal advice to the University and its affiliated formations ( colleges and institutes ) . Defending the University’s rights towards others and representing the University
The judicial authorities. This division includes four divisions and subordinate units: :
First: legal consulting division
Tasks of this division :
- Providing legal advice to the University and its formations of colleges and institutes affiliated to it in various applications of laws and in cases referred to it .
Second: property and university housing division
It includes two units:
- Property and university housing
Tasks :
1-follow-up on university housing affairs in colleges and institutes affiliated to the University .
2-answering incoming inquiries regarding the application of the instructions for housing .
3-audit the housing minutes received to the University from colleges and institutes and indicate the observations on them.
4-directing colleges and institutes in the application of instructions for university housing and the formation of housing sub-committees .
5-preparation of an electronic database of formations affiliated to the University .
University housing unit
Tasks :
1-follow-up of the University’s property in colleges and institutes .
2-directing colleges and institutes to fix the ownership of the lands built on them .
3-complete archiving of the title deed and in the records prepared for this purpose and the calculator as a database .
4-directing the follow-up of ongoing disputes regarding the University’s property in colleges and institutes.
Third: the rights and claims Division (Investigative Committees ) .
A-litigation unit :
Tasks :
1-following up the lawsuits filed against the University and filed by the University against others and attending the courts .
2-reviewing the departments related to the judiciary and the judicial departments .
3-attending the imam of the executive departments in executive disputes .
4-electronic archiving and database issues regarding lawsuits and executive transactions at colleges and institutes .
B-the unit of investigative committees:
Tasks:
1 – conducting an audit on the minutes of the real and audit committees received from colleges and institutes affiliated to the University .
2-the answer of colleges and institutes about the comments received on the minutes of the investigative committees.
3-follow-up of the investigative committees formed in colleges and institutes in terms of answering the inquiries contained in the investigation .
4-preparing statements and a database on investigative committees and adapting them according to the type of committee.
Fourth: sponsorship contracts division :
Tasks /acting as a notary/
1-checking the students ‘ guarantees in the basic and sub-records of each faculty and institute affiliated to the University .
2-auditing the study commitments for studying for students outside and entering Iraq .
3-auditing the study contracts and the Annexes of the contracts .
4-follow-up of students in colleges and institutes in terms of study duration .
- Database numbers in records and calculator .
6-follow-up of the audit of the fellowship contract by the university president .
Units subordinate to the Department presidency .
A-Administrative follow-up unit :
Tasks /
1-follow-up the Department’s answer about the books received from the university, colleges and institutes .
2-follow-up on the affairs of politically dismissed employees .
3-follow-up of forged documents .
4-printing the ongoing correspondence books of colleges and institutes .
5-follow-up of the memoranda submitted by the department to the university presidency and other administrative departments .
B-secretarial unit :
Tasks :
Follow-up of incoming mail to the Department for the purpose of answering it and issuing it by Administrative Affairs and organizing Citizens ‘ Review .
