The President of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, received in his office a delegation from the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) within the framework of the “Tawasul Project.” The delegation included Mr. Nabil Mustafa, Programs Manager, and Mr. Hisham Abdulhadi, Director of Technical Education and Training. The meeting was attended by the Assistant for Scientific Affairs, the Director of the Science and Technology Parks Department, as well as a number of deans of the relevant university colleges.
During the meeting, the University President reviewed the annual action plan of the Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Division, which encompasses a set of specialized programs, including work-based learning, career guidance, soft skills development, information technology, and blended learning.
In a related context, the University President presented the project for establishing a technology incubator, along with the university’s ambitious plans to support entrepreneurial ideas and provide an enabling environment for the establishment of start-up companies. These initiatives aim to enhance graduates’ competencies and support pathways of development and innovation.
He also emphasized the vital role played by the Tawasul Project in training students and graduates and developing their skills, as well as in enhancing the capacities of university staff. Such efforts contribute to aligning educational outputs with labor market requirements and its evolving needs.
At the same time, he expressed his appreciation for the outstanding efforts exerted by the Tawasul Project and its effective role in supporting training and qualification pathways within the university.
For their part, the head of the Tawasul Project delegation expressed their high appreciation for the ongoing cooperation with the university, affirming their readiness to continue joint work in a manner that achieves developmental and educational objectives in line with labor market requirements.
