As part of the Middle Euphrates Technical University’s efforts to build partnerships with regional, Arab, and global universities and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, and under the guidance of the university’s President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, a delegation led by Prof. Dr. Zaid Maan Hassan Al-Dulaimi, Dean of the Technical Institute of Diwaniya, along with Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Waeli, Cultural Advisor to the Tunisian Republic, visited the University of Manouba in Tunisia. They were warmly received by Dr. Amer Al-Sharif, President of the University of Manouba.
At the beginning of the meeting, both sides discussed the scientific and research aspects of their respective universities, followed by a coordination meeting to explore the possibility of holding a joint international scientific conference between the Technical Institute of Diwaniya, Middle Euphrates Technical University, and the University of Manouba.
In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Zaid Maan Al-Dulaimi, Head of the delegation, outlined the preliminary preparations made by the Technical Institute for organizing the conference. He also provided a brief overview of the conference’s objectives, particularly in relation to meeting the standards of the Sustainable Development Goals, and discussed the feasibility of holding the event.
The President of the University of Manouba welcomed these efforts, expressing the university’s readiness to collaborate and contribute to the success of the conference with the Middle Euphrates Technical University.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Al-Dulaimi presented a commemorative gift on behalf of the President of the Middle Euphrates Technical University to Dr. Amer Al-Sharif, President of the University of Manouba, as a symbol of strengthening the ties of cooperation between the two universities. In return, Dr. Al-Sharif presented the university’s shield to the head of the delegation and its members.
The delegation accompanying Prof. Dr. Al-Dulaimi consisted of: Prof. Dr. Khidir Majid Alawi, Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs; Dr. Khairiya Abdel Fadel, Head of the Department of Health Administration Technology; Dr. Afrah Raheem Aidan, Head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department; and Mr. Ahmed Thabet Faisal, Head of the Media and Government Communication Unit.
