A delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s Department of Dorms Affairs and Scientific Supervision and Evaluation visited Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University to conduct field supervision and audit the implementation of summer maintenance work on the dorms departments. They also provided a detailed report on the status of the dorms departments from all aspects, ensuring their readiness and suitability for housing our university students for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The University President, Professor Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, received the ministerial delegation tasked with monitoring the status of the university’s dorms departments and their facilities. The delegation was attended by the Vice Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Director of the Dorms Department, and his staff from the University Presidency.
Al-Zubaidi indicated in his remarks that the maintenance, reconstruction, and construction campaign for the dorms departments included all university facilities in the five governorates within the university’s geographical area.
The ministerial delegation, headed by Mr. Bassam Karim Zidane and accompanied by Dr. Mayada Kazim Jaafar and Mr. Ahmed Abdul Razzaq Ali, during its meeting with the senior staff of the Dorms Sections Department, reviewed the maintenance work being carried out in the dorms sections at the university’s Kufa and Najaf sites.
The meeting also discussed the upcoming summer maintenance plan for the dorms departments, as well as projects related to regional development, including the dorms departments project at the Technical Institute/Babylon, and projects implemented from the revenues of the Higher Education Fund, administered by the university’s presidency and its formations.
For its part, the ministerial delegation, during its field tour, praised the completion of the maintenance work and expressed its observations and highlighted the university’s efforts to achieve sustainable development goals with the aim of providing a model university environment for students and affiliates.
