Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Achieves National Institutional Accreditation
Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University has achieved a new academic and institutional milestone by officially obtaining National Institutional Accreditation, pursuant to Ministerial Order No. (160) dated 15 July 2026, after successfully fulfilling the national quality standards and accreditation requirements approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This achievement marks a significant step in the University’s journey toward strengthening its quality assurance system and institutional excellence. It reflects the University’s commitment to continuously enhancing its academic, administrative, and research performance, while serving the community in accordance with nationally recognized quality standards.
The accreditation is the result of sustained efforts and the direct supervision of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi; the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanim Wadai; and the Assistant President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul Mohsen Al-Majtoomi. It also reflects the collective dedication of the University Presidency, its colleges and institutes, all faculty and staff members, as well as the pivotal role of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University Presidency and the Quality Assurance and University Performance Units across all university formations in meeting accreditation requirements and strengthening the University’s quality assurance and institutional performance framework.
