To strengthen the Institute’s relationship with various sectors in the field of reconstruction by providing advisory services to the relevant authorities in evaluating and rehabilitating multiple engineering projects to achieve the university’s goals in the field of community service. The Department of Mechanical Technologies at the Technical Institute / Karbala held a scientific meeting entitled (Giving Priority for the rehabilitation and maintenance of university buildings).
Assist Prof. Dr. Essam Mohamed Ali gave three lectures. The three lectures focused on identifying the ways and methods of building repair and maintenance by understanding deterioration, lack of durability, materials used in rehabilitation, and maintenance procedures.
Lectures also intended to identify models of buildings that have been maintained in various ways, and rehabilitation of concrete structures, preventive and curative solutions, cement and epoxy repair systems, and polyurethane systems.
Dr. Sana Ali Hamza, Head of the Mechanical Technologies Department, and several department personnel and students attended the event.
