As part of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University’s commitment to supporting scientific research and strengthening its presence in international academic forums, the Engineering Technical College of Najaf achieved a distinguished scientific accomplishment with the selection of the research submitted by master’s student Zainab Abdul Hassan as the Best Research Paper during the activities of the International IEEE Conference, held at El Shorouk Academy in the Arab Republic of Egypt from 21–24 April 2026, with broad participation from researchers and academics representing various Arab and international universities.
This achievement was accomplished under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Samoom and Professor Dr. Wafaa Mohammed Reda, whose guidance and continuous follow-up significantly enhanced the scientific value and research outcomes of the study, earning the appreciation and recognition of the conference evaluation committees and participants.
This distinction reflects the academic and research excellence attained by the college and its dedication to supporting student talents and scientific research in a manner that strengthens the international academic standing of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University.
The College Deanship also emphasized the importance of continuing to support postgraduate students and researchers in order to achieve further scientific accomplishments and enhance academic and research performance.
