Al-Musaib Technical Institute at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU) conducted a research tour to the Babylon Governorate cement production for students from the Civil Technologies Department.
At the worksite, the tour included a review of the phases of the cement industry, cement manufacturing, and the most essential ingredients used in its creation (clay and lime).
The stages of production included mixing the components and transferring them to the crushers, mixing the materials together and the mixing ratios, passing through a furnace with a temperature of approximately 1430 degrees Celsius, watching the product called “clinker,” adding other materials, and placing them again in the grinding machine to obtain the cement, and concluding the visit by watching the process of packing the product
